Abstract

The historical elements of a town complete a fundamental list in the invigoration of the cultural identity, as well as in the rescue of the historical roots and their natural and cultural patrimony. These components bring near to the educational one on the inquiry of their community, and to historical and social sources that promote the education in values; the objective of the investigation was directed to: to propose a methodology to the educational ones to integrate the historical components of the town in the process of teaching-learning of the subjects of fourth grade in the primary education, in the educational institutions "Paquito González Cueto" and "José Martí", Cuba. For the development of this investigation, summary methods and prosecution of the information were used, those that allowed to verify the existent inadequacies as for the knowledge of the educational ones about historical components of the town. The sample included at 12 educational of these two educational institutions. The developed methodology established an instrumental theoretical and other apparatus with stages and necessary methodological procedures. The proposal was subjected to socialization shops with specialists that endorsed its quality and relevancy. The implementation of this methodology contributed significantly to improve the level of knowledge, abilities and values of the educational ones.
