Abstract

This aim of this research was to analyze the anthropic pressure and its relationship with the susceptibility of the Mangroves of Tumbes National Sanctuary, 2000-2020, as well as the processes of anthropic pressure that affect the spatial and environmental complexity of biological diversity, the calculation of the health of biological diversity and determine if there is a relationship between cultural and social factors in the anthropic pressure that affects the spatial and environmental complexity. The biodiversity health measurement (The Nature Conservancy – TNC), and spatial analysis of the vigor of plant cover through the normalized difference index - NVDI, in addition to a survey, this measurement was carried out on a population made up of the mangrove forest as a protected natural area and its buffer zone and the sample was only considered in the protected area known as the Mangroves of Tumbes National Sanctuary. The results of the investigation determine that the representative species of the mangrove ecosystem have had serious decreases in their
populations, the alteration of the configuration of biological processes has been intensive and the mangrove shows a low vigor of its vegetation cover since 2014. Sanctuary presents modifications in its components with the decrease of species, its structure, and the alterations in the dynamics in its functions due to the alteration of the trophic chains and decreases in the vegetal cover of 44.18 hectares between the years 2000 and 2020.
